We are looking for a Senior Ship Structural Design Engineer

For permanent employment or long term assignment

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Ship structural calculations and analysis

• Structural design reports

• Ship classification drawings

• Engineering check of design and drawings

• Weight estimates

Qualifications:

• Master or bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering

• Minimum 5-10 years experience with structural calculations of ship constructions

• Good knowledge of class requirements and ship standards

• Practical experience from ship construction and shipbuilding

• Fluent in English

• Candidates with knowledge of the Norwegian language may be preferred

Personal qualities:

• Ability to work in teams and independently

• High level technical understanding

• Accurate, systematic and efficient

• Good communication and cooperation skills
